Coleman's Hatch Horticultural Society

The Coleman’s Hatch Horticultural Society is a local society which enjoys affiliation to the Royal Horticultural Society. We are a small group but we have big aims! This year, we are aiming to spread the news of our work even further and encourage more and more residents from the area to get involved.

Each year we run two events which are the Open Gardens, earlier in the year, and Autumn Show which this year, is taking place on September 14th. We have some exciting developments in store and our website is updated with news but we also regularly contribute to the Chronicle and local magazines to keep everyone informed.

Our NOMINATED CHARITIES FOR 2024 to whom we will donate money from our work are locally-based Children’s Forest and Taylor Made Dreams.

Forthcoming events

Autumn Show 2024:  Saturday September 14th 12pm  – 4pm
Holy Trinity Church and Hall

This year’s theme is ‘Skies’. Our annual Autumn Show is one of the highlights of the year in Colemans Hatch. Competition entries cover a range of categories such as best vegetables and fruit, flowers, flower arranging, cookery and photography. We will have lots of entertainment on offer too so that you can have a really enjoyable day with us. Games, food and refreshments, as well as the Poetry Tent (a roaring success last year) are just some of the additional items you will find on the day.

This year, we will be encouraging as many entries as possible from our younger participants and there will be even more for children to do on the day when they visit. So get preparing to grow and show your vegetables and flowers, hone those artistic skills and practice those recipes!! Full details of all classes and entry forms available on the website (some entry forms will be available at the Café too).
